"Very nice and welcoming "

"The most amazing hotel in an equally amazing setting. From the river running past the bedroom window to the cosy log fire with the beautiful stag head above it, every detail was perfect. The décor was beautifully in keeping with the surroundings, with fly rods and antlers adding to the character and charm. The rooms were well equipped, the bed was super comfy, and everything was spotlessly clean – 10/10 for cleanliness. Breakfast was outstanding and the perfect start to the day. A truly special place that we can’t wait to return to."

"Our recent stay at the Tor Na Coille Hotel was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by the friendly and attentive staff. The hotel itself is beautiful. We particularly loved the tastefully decorated restaurant. The lounge was also elegant and cosy—the perfect spot to relax with a drink . Our bedroom was great; clean, very quiet, and well-decorated. It was equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a comfortable en-suite shower and toilet, a plethora of toiletries, and the added conveniences of an iron, ironing board, TV, and hairdryer. The selection of coffee and teas and homemade shortbread in the room was a lovely touch . We dined in the elegant restaurant and had a truly delicious dinner. The menu offered a great variety, and we were particularly impressed with the excellent vegan options for one of our party, which can often be an afterthought but were clearly well-prepared and flavorful and huge portions for us all . Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive, with a fantastic full Scottish spread that again catered brilliantly to vegans . The location is ideal, set within spacious, peaceful grounds that are lovely to wander around . It’s also incredibly convenient, just a short distance from the main street and the beautiful Falls of Feugh . An unexpected bonus was the large, modern gym next door that guests are free to use, which was a great facility. We'll be back!"

"Staff amazing "

"What should have been a special, long-overdue break turned into a complete disaster. My wife and I were evacuated in the middle of the night due to a gas leak—a genuinely frightening experience. We were abruptly forced out of the hotel with no proper reassurance or handling of the situation, which alone is unacceptable. We were offered “alternative accommodation,” but it did not have the same facilities or standard as what we had paid for. Given the circumstances and the time of night, we chose to make our own way home instead. This was our first time away since having our son, and the trip was completely ruined. To make matters worse, the hotel has refused any refund or compensation, despite the stay being cut short due to a serious safety issue entirely outside of our control. That response speaks volumes about how they treat their guests when something goes wrong. Safety concerns, a ruined stay, and zero accountability. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value basic duty of care and customer service."
