"This is a lovely Pub in the heart of Old Basingstoke. A trifle awkward to get into by car, but plenty of parking once we'd managed it! Friendly and helpful staff. A good breakfast."

"Booked the suite with my partner for three nights, turned out we had booked gran’s house, very dated, no tv in bedroom even though it’s shown in the pictures. When opening the window the plastic window surround fell off and there was no curtains on the window so people on the car park get full view. The lights flicker in the bathroom so if your epileptic you might want to swerve the bathroom. "The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. "

"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Unfortunately, there was no hot water both in the evening and the following morning, which we reported to the host on departure.
