"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."

The Manor House At Celtic Manor

10/10 Excellent

"Celtic Manor is an exceptionally fantastic location, only previously been for work events I took the weekend with my wife for my birthday and had a chance to have a relaxing spa weekend unfortunately didn't get to hit the golf there is definitely plenty to do here. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the food was fantastic and I would highly recommend anyone to visit from family to couples, looking forward to my next visit keep up the great work."

"Booked the “cosy” double and it was perfect for one night as a stop off to break up a long drive. Shower was really nice. Mattress on the firmer side which is not my preference but some people don’t like soft so can’t please everyone. Staff were friendly and both check in and out were a doddle. Would stay again."

"Overall, this was a nice hotel with friendly staff. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable, and the grounds were pleasant. The other facilities, although I didn’t use them, also appeared to be of a good standard. I was surprised that the bathroom did not contain a bath, and although the shower was pleasant enough there was plenty of space for a bath to have been available. The biggest disappointment however was being charged an additional £13.50 per night for parking - I don’t recall seeing this anywhere in the listing information or pre-arrival information (although acknowledge I may have overlooked this) but for the price of the room (which is already high) I would expect parking for guests to be included."
