The property was adequate for our purposes. I think they could have a simpler method for paying for car parking as you had to download an app and several customers had problems with this method and a member of staff had to sort it out on their own account for us. Breakfast was good.

The room felt tired and there were damp issues. The tea and coffee tray was very limited, with only two milk portions provided, meaning you could only have one drink each. Downstairs, there was a strong smell that seemed to be either damp or from the air conditioning. The photos showing a bright conservatory are misleading, as it was in need of a thorough clean both inside and out. On the positive side, the staff gave a warm and friendly welcome, and there was a good selection available at breakfast. The location is excellent, very close to the Cliffs Pavilion, and our room had a lovely sea view.

It’s a very traditional hotel in a lovely, scenic landscape. It also provides a lot of entertainment for youths. It is within walking distance to the station, the High Street and it’s by the sea with a wonderful park in front of it.
