"I stay away around 200 nights a year and this place is ok. Comfy bed Nice properly, but the staff are just woefully inept at hosting, I wasn’t offered an evening meal or breakfast. The bar staff are quite possibly the least friendly robots one can imagine. Then there is the traffic outside the rooms, staying on the ground floor close to bins, the bottle emptying goes on until 11pm and then the bin truck arrives 6 hours later in the early hours for recycling.. then you have to deal with the...

"Clean, simple room in a central location, easy for the train. I didn’t use the parking but it had good spaces if you need it. No toiletries provided. I forgot my phone charger, and they couldn’t lend me one but directed me to the shop over the road, where I could buy one. Didn’t try the breakfast but Bill’s is next door and was great."

"We stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 as we were going to the races. Great location and the family room was perfect Great size with a singular bed in its own room. After reading the reviews we were a bit horrified but no need at all. The beds were really comfortable with lovely fresh clean bedding and towels. Toiletries provided, tea and coffee making supplies with biscuits too. Overall a great stay. We would stay again. Thank you."

"Room wasnt the biggest but perfectly formed. Only disappointment was the shower was over a bath - difficult for me being slightly disabled to get in & out of. "

"The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. "

The facilities are high quality, with an elegant feel without being dated. Food was good in both restaurants, as was breakfast. The spa was very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. "
