"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Although the price was very good on this hotel I wouldn’t recommend for anyone who is claustrophobic. The room was clean but so small we just had a hard time with the very limited space. I should’ve checked out the square footage before reserving so that’s on me but to gave the toilet in same room as the shower was very strange. "

"Outstanding value for this hotel. Spotlessly clean, and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Quiet, convenient to shopping, and not far from LGW we are SO GLAD to have found this property. Meals in the hotel bar were excellent and decent portions. Unreservedly recommend."

"Perfect! This hotel was the perfect budget friendly spot. What stood out to me most was the cleanliness and warmth of the staff. It’s well connected to public transportation and if you need to get to the airport there are shuttles every half an hour. I will be back for sure "

"Plenty of parking ( large car park round the back). Staff very helpful , bar and bear good, room good size, clean ,but carpet and decoration a little tired. Also fire doors in the corridors slammed. Also fan in bathroom did not work,reported to hotel."

"The room was fine, it was clean but a little dated. The beds (2 singles) though were very uncomfortable. One had the springs poking through. On asking for a mattress topper or a different mattress, the response was that this was not possible. Mattress toppers were later added but why indicate this is not possible when it is? We were cold on the first night and requested a blanket. We were informed that the hotel did not have any blankets! After considering moving hotel we were given a second...

"Staff were lovely. We were given a room upgrade which we really appreciated. Really enjoyed our overnight stay and was very convenient for our flight from Gatwick. Will definitely book again. "
