Blinkbonnie Guest House was a delightful, intimate and warm place to stay. The beds were comfortable and cozy, bathrooms were good and the breakfast service fantastic. Lesley and Richard were so welcoming and kind. They went above and beyond to insure we were happy. I have to say, the views from Blinkbonnie were just incredible. I highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised
Excellent value for money in a very nice quiet area with amazing views of the sea, facilities are at the bottom of the hill in a very clean, well looked after harbour/promenade

Just 2 of us.
2 of us stayed for 2 nights in an en-suite twin room, very clean, small, but enough for us. Very friendly couple run this lovely villa in a quiet area of the village only a 7 minute stroll from the harbour area, although it is situated up a small incline which might be an issue for guests with mobility problems. A decent breakfast with a few variations are served each morning. There is a kettle and tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room as well as bottled water. Mind you we weren't keen on the sachets of coffee on offer!! All in all it was a very good guest house and we would recommend it.

Fantastic Find!
The Blinkbonnie is an outstanding B & B! My cousin and I stayed in a twin bedroom. It was small but perfect for us. The bathroom was newly remodeled. The beds were comfortable. And, the room was spotlessly clean. The whole B & B was spotlessly clean. I was impressed by this; I even check the corner behind the bathroom door--clean! It's a rare find when I am willing to go barefoot in a hotel room. This was one of those places. Oh, and the innkeepers were professional and welcoming. I can hardly wait to go back to Portpatrick so that I can stay here again! The views from the breakfast area are spectacular and are only matched by the wonderful breakfast. Seriously, you can't go wrong staying here. The Blinkbonnie is a gem for the price!

Lovely B&B in a quaint seaside village.
Leslie and Robert run a fine establishment and Leslie makes a fantastic breakfast. Check out Campbell's restaurant on the waterfront if you like fresh and well prepared seafood.

The only minor problem we encountered was that the Guest house di not accept Debit or credit cards and only accepts cash or Cheques. This was not highlighted by Hotels.com and could have cost us a charge if we only had credit cards with us. The Guest house and the couple who run it are great but Portpatrick is not the ideal place for things to do especially when the weather is poor.

Thanks for your review James, you could have paid Hotels.Com by card when booking but you chose to pay us direct. I will email Hotels.Com and ask them to make it clear our payment policy but as we have no control over this I can't guarantee they will put this on their website. Portpatrick is a lovely little quite village and most people that visit are here just to relax, I hope the rain didn't spoil your stay or put you off visiting again. Kind Regards Lesley Collins

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. There is a towel hook in all our bathrooms located next to the sink or on the toilet door. We have recently installed new equipment so Wi-Fi is available in all our rooms, we are aware that BT have been working on Broadband in the village, we will look into this issue and hopefully get it resolved very soon. Beautiful View
Stayed for a couple of nights and it was very handy,only 5 minute walk to the harbour downhill.Lovely view from the garden over the harbour.Room was very clean and seemed to be quite new.Only thing we found the bed to be a bit too hard.Breakfast was good and owners very friendly.Ideal base for Portpatrick and surrounding areas.Would stay here again.

Will definitely return - wonderful place!
Lovely friendly hosts and beautiful German shepherd! Fabulous views from front of house. Very clean room- only scored slight negative on room comfort due to very little space between one of the beds and entrance to bathroom.All in all excellent stay, will definitely be back!
