First trip to Stornoway to experience island life.
Great location. Beautiful Lews castle grounds & museum. We were able to go for early morning walks before breakfast.

We really enjoyed staying at the Cabarfeidh hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. The staff is very polite and helpful, our room was spacious and modern, 3 breakfasts and 1 dinner were great and always presented w a smile. The location is excellent- the royal gardens are just across the street and the co- op is about a 5 min walk. It is an easy walk to downtown. We would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it highly.

On checking in I was advise that we had a twin room, I asked if this could be made into a double & was told that they had made the room up as requested, I advise that I had not requested a twin, too tied to stand my ground I accepted the room, asked about Dinner in the hotel restaurant & was advised that we could only get in after 8.45, so gave that up too, we decided to walk into town & go elsewhere. When getting to our room it had been made up as a double!!. The room was extremely tired looking & needed to be decorated. The bed was comfortable & clean. The shower was not much more than a dribble. We had booked & paid for breakfast but as we were on the first ferry we were unable to have breakfast as breakfast started over an hour later then us leaving. To sum up, if/when I return to Stornoway I will not return to this hotel.

Hello, As advised on check in I was more than happy to show you your reservation which states the request for the room to be made as a twin, you declined this offer. Our housekeeping team had left for the day and we were unable to move you rooms as we were fully booked. It is the responsibility of the guest to check they have requested the correct bed type. On this occasion it seems our housekeeping team made a happy error. We usually do not have any issues with the shower pressure here, had we known we would have looked at this. As advised on check in, our cooked breakfast starts at 7am and we do have continental available from 5am. We can also provide a packed continental breakfast.

Top marks for Stornoway Cabarfeidh Hotel.
Great stay for music festival, situated 15 minute walk from festival site and from town centre. Great facilities with excellent breakfast and because I had a 5a.m. ferry check in on last morning I could check out & pay the afternoon before and a packed breakfast was ready for me in the early morning. Top marls all round.

nous avions demandé un petit déjeuner à emporter car ferry très tôt, la réception a laissé le message mais nous avons eu la désagréable surprise de n'avoir qu'1 pack au lieu de 2 et vraiment très light 1 pomme...1 yaourt...1 croissant+ mini muffin et 1 jus d'orange. pour le prix nous nous attendions à beaucoup mieux

Hotel was lovely on lobby and staff couldn’t have been more helpful, however once we got to our room it was slightly outdated and had various things that looked a bit shoddy, the wallpaper was peeling, and the bathroom accents where I assume soaps used to be were all mouldy and rotting. Room 11

Lobby is looking good but smell old... maybe the carpet? But smelt like something did not dry off too long.

Excellent
Very nice stay. Room was warm and comfortable. Staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Couldn't fault the hotel and I would definitely stay again.
