"We stayed at the Thon Rosenkrantz for 4 nights. From the moment we were met by a very pleasant and helpful Aksel at the front desk, to our beautiful room on the 8th floor, to the outstanding breakfast service, both food and staff, and the most delightful and caring housekeeping staff member throughout our week, we enjoyed the hotel and all of the staff immensely. The location is great. The Thon Rosenkrantz is a truly outstanding 5 star hotel. "

"The loft room was perfect for me and my teenage son. We each had our own sleeping area and privacy when wanted as heavy curtains close around each king bed. The hotel was very clean and the bedding, towels, and slippers were top notch.
We were able to walk to all of the sights from the hotel which was lovely. The sights we visited in walking distance include: the National Museum (also highly recommend), the Museum of Norwegian Culture (a bit of a walk, but worth it), a kayaking tour with Mad...

"Location is outstanding - close to the harbour between the Central station and the Opera House. Easy walk to the main museums and shopping area and well served by public transport. It also boasts an amazing buffet breakfast included in the price - a really valuable extra in a city with such high restaurant prices. The single room was small, but well appointed, with a very comfortable bed and windows which open for fresh air. "

"We really enjoyed our stay, especially the wonderful connecting rooms – perfect for families or groups. The location was fantastic; we were able to walk everywhere, and it was super convenient to reach the train station or catch a bus.
Our only issue was with the showers. While the water pressure was excellent, the lack of a rubber seal on the bottom of the shower doors caused water to flood the bathroom floor each time we used it, which was quite a hassle.
