"What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event. "

"My family and I had a wonderful two night stay at the Lake Inn Ballarat. We were very happy with our clean and spacious room, which included a convenient microwave we didn't even know we needed till we did. They also provided a cot for our entire stay for just $20. A major highlight was the attached City Oval Hotel, the food and drinks were excellent, making it incredibly convenient for dinner.
The only minor drawback was that the hot water in the shower wasn't as hot as we would have liked....
"Easy, is how I would describe Menzies hotel. Big rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great heating and cooling, park right outside your room and super quiet. Self check in, but if your key doesn’t work, simply ring the owner. He will reset the room key. "
