Lovely old building, beautifully clean and comfortable. Steve and Fiona were very welcoming and kind. Also, they cooked a mean breakfast from a varied menu. It was delicious. The only downside was the lack of parking outside The Bakehouse. It proved to be very difficult but the upside was that approx 60 yards away was a Car Park for only £3.30 for 24 hours! Highly recommend The Bakehouse if you are planning a visit to East Devon.

This was a home from home. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. After a 3.5 day drive from Corfu to walk through the doors of a friendly Great British hostelry was simply the best experience. Spacious accommodation in the Flat, plenty of room to unwind with my two dogs who were a little wound up after the long drive. Bed was comfy and there was a really useful folder of info in the room, the owner had included a few suggested walks around the property which was great and we did one of them just to stretch our legs.
