"Hotel is a lovely. Parking onsite so handy. On site restaurant excellent with a good choice of menu. Rooms are well sized and bathrooms large. Buffet breakfast delicious from continental to cooked. Staff friendly and their spoken English was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re travelling in Belgium."

"We stopped here when driving to Germany from UK. It was excellent. A perfect stop off with great rooms (decor ridiculously over the top but funny and comfortable rather than mad). Restaurant great. Grounds great. And you can drink the wine from their vineyards (which we did). I don’t know why this place would exist where it does or how it survives, but the restaurant was packed - must be the place to eat for the locals."

"Zentral gelegenes Hotel in umgebauten Altbau. Sehr großzügiges Zimmer und Bad mit netter kleiner Sitzecke. Etwas schwierig sind die vielen einzelnen Stufen, die sich auch durch mit Aufzug nicht vermeiden ließen. Altbau halt."

"Het hotel is vanuit de parkeergarage moeilijk te vinden, met de bewegwijzering loop je een rondje. bij de roltrap wijst hij namelijk niet naar boven en daarna is ook niks meer te vinden. Verder was het hotel prima, personeel met inchecken was ook goed. Helaas in de avond wilde wij nog naar de bar die tot 2300 uur open zou zijn maar deze was vanwege voetbal dicht, ze wees ons naar een sportbar en weer was dit een slecht aangegeven en ook slecht aangegeven door het personeel. "La Villa Balat a beaucoup de charme, située le long et avec vue sur la Meuse et la Citadelle. Parking public aisé à proximité immédiat. Accueil très sympathique dans le petit salon qui sert aussi de bar ouvert et de bibliothèque bien fournie. Petit-déjeuner plantureux, très varié, avec des produits locaux de première fraicheur."
