"We stayed at this beautiful cottage last weekend and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owners were incredibly helpful, especially when we let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until midnight — they couldn’t have been more accommodating. "Great place to stay with a warm welcome. Rob and Jan are very friendly hosts, made us feel at home. A short walk into Todmorden and had a lovely day. Had a great sleep in a very comfy bed. All topped off by a lovely breakfast the morning after. Couldn't have asked for more. Hope to be back in the future. Thanks Toothless Mog for a lovely stay! 👍👍👍 "

"The spa area felt quite cold particularly around the pool so not very conducive to relaxing on the sun beds. The temperature of the pool was quite cool. Best to go in before using any of the thermal journey! Rooms starting to need redecorating in places and my air conditioning unit in Room 313 was leaking water onto the carpet below. Breakfast choice was really good and food was hot. WiFi was very good. Plenty of free parking at the hotel"

"lol when I told my staff where I’d booked they said your staying in the murder hotel (no murders have actually taken place btw) but is there was a hotel you could be murdered in this is the place !!!! I had to share my room with about 25 silver fish insects running around my bathroom and when I showed videos of the rather massive insects I was told we will get pest control out lol ! Course you will ;) the school next door means if you leave for work at anytime between 8-9 am you are not going...

"The Grains bar hotel was selected over others primarily for its location which had several teenage memories. We were visiting family in Smallbridge, Rochdale ... 4miles away, so very convenient. Excellent greeting and first impressions. Ample seating areas, small bar area next to reception, large brekki, dining room but lacked atmosphere. Other rooms (not viewed incl Wedding venue) available. Good meals and menu. Rag pudding...well! Yes, the parking is a tad awkward, ie circa 20 spaces...

"Lovely room. The shower cubicle was a bit small, but the shower was good, although no heating in the shower room. The room was accessed via two flights of narrow stairs. Breakfast was reasonable, but could do with yogurt and fresh fruit with the cereals. No offer of separate toast..one piece provided with the breakfast. No jams or marmalade on offer either. The main meals and menu gor dinnrr was excelent"

"Car park is being re-done got woken up by diggers in the morning. Not necessarily hotel’s fault but noisy guests slamming doors until midnight & talking outside my room was quite annoying & meant I could not sleep until gone midnight. "

"Lovely hotel, easy to park, everyone was friendly, food was amazing and I slept like a log so easy 5 star."

"Hotel good breakfast was disappointing No choice of eggs no black pudding every mushrooms rubbery the rest not cooked properly Ie. All cooked in oven not fried. "

"Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "

"I was kept fully informed of the check-in procedure (there si no desk), room information and even warnings about local road closures by email from Karen. The room was marvellous; clean, spacious and with a very shiny bathroom. The bed was the best I've slept in for ages and the quiet made for an excellent night's sleep. A lovely touch was the porridge pot and pain au chocolat left out for breakfast. The setting is spectacular; high above Sowerby Bridge with stunning views across the valley. "

"Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room."

"There were no sockets either side of the bed. Very difficult if you have a CPAP or BiPAP breathing unit. "
