"The premises are clean and tidy, and you can see they are renovating. The renovations did not impact at all. Reception and cleaners all very approachable and friend. The hotel is close to the octagon, Settlers Museum and supermarket, all an easy walk. Room was comfortable with kettle tea and coffee and creamer. Also has a lovely courtyard where you can enjoy a beverage and cigarette. I will definitely stay there next time I am in Dunedin. "

"Parking was primitive and difficult with too few carparks. Bed mattress was like a slab of concrete. Stairs to upper rooms steep very difficult to manage heavy luggage. Would not go back. No staff on duty when we arrived before the office was due to close. "

"I would look no further for accommodation in Dunedin. Very reasonable price, soft sheets (even my 8 year old commented on how nice the sheets were), soft absorbent towels, warm clean room, hot shower, 24/7 shop over the road, walking distance to main fast food hub on Great King St, and off street parking. Ticks all the boxes for me, thank you Alcala."

"Loved that the beach, shops, everything we needed was in walking distance, there were bus stops that were close and could get us anywhere that was too far to walk. "

"This was a wonderful stay with great views of the bay. The house had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Great kitchen for cooking dinner, with nice table with room for all of us. The living room had nice large TV screen, but also great views overlooking the bay and Dunedin. Spent two nights, but could have easily spent more."
