Lovely accommodation. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious and the half board food was mostly fantastic.
We opted for a private room so we had our own onsen. This was our first and only onsen experience so I can't really make any comparisons but it was seriously fantastic. Nice and hot, very private and clean. Loved it.
Location was a bit of a trek from the train station but worth it - the walk is enjoyable and you can easily cut through along the river once you're checked in to reach the main strip of the town a bit quicker which is also a great walk.
Got a room on 2/F. Room is spacious and view is good.
There is 3 onsen room that you can lock to use it privately. Also 2 big onsen that need to be reserved. Dinner is at 6pm or 6.30pm. Breakfast is at 7.30 or 8am. You can choose when you check in. Food is good. It's not private dining space but sharing with other families. Quite annoying when there is kids and other guests speaking loudly. Free parking. There is nothing around the hotel so better get everything you need (snacks/drinks) before heading there. Check out time is 10am.
Hot spring facility is very good. We lived in main building & there are one public onsen & 3 private onsen available. Private onsens are very good, family can use one by locking inside & putting a board to show “occupied” on the entrance, then to enjoy your private time. 3 private onsens are different size & I think the large one can be available for 4 slim ladies.
Private bathroom & washroom attached to our room without warm air, it is too cold to take a bath or to use washroom in winter with only few celsius degree outside.
As we don’t like to eat uncooked food & fish, we hadn’t taken dinner there. If menu for more cooked food can be provided, it would be much appreciated.
Overall, it is a nice place to state. Fee parking, attractive decoration and wonderful onsen. Staff are polite even we only bought room accommodation.
