Shower cubicle was a joke , the shower wasn’t adjustable and was positioned to hit the enclosure rather than your body . The adjustable rails was all dismantled .

Lovely hotel very close to beach
Location amazing, exactly what we wanted being 3 min walk from beach. Breakfast was lovely. Large room and bathroom. Only negative comment is we were situated near a fan which ran all night.

Last minute Norfolk trip
We needed a room for one night for a last minute break. Mundesley is quiet and a perfect overnight for us. Hotel a short walk to beach Hotel had everything we needed; bar, comfortable room, breakfast, all as you’d expect.

Very disappointed in our stay. We had a bathroom that was filthy with black mouldsThe carpets in the room very dirt and not hoovered the shower didn’t work well. We had to leave early for our Macmillan hike and a pa Jed breakfast. The. Bacon say we ordered. The bacon was raw. I will not recommend to anyone. Not worth anything especially the price staying there

Tired could do with Tlc
A little slow checking in, short staffed. Room was tired and wasn’t as clean as it could be. Shaving hairs in bath cobwebs, lipstick mark on cup and sheet marked. Breakfast was lovely staff were polite. Couldn’t fault portion size and piping hot.

40th wedding anniversary
Check in was easy, staff member polite friendly and very helpful. Room was clean tidy and spacious with tea and coffee. Bar was nice and again staff helpful and friendly as were the local customers. We had dinner and that was very nice too very large portions. Again the service was very quick and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room was extremely nice. Hotel was hang for Cromer and the surrounding area. Loved our stay and if we visit the area again we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

It was an OK stay. Hotel was clean though all a little dated. A little overpriced for what you get. The menu lacked in smaller less expensive snack type meals.

Quiet location very close to the dog friendly beach. Warm and comfortable. Good size bed. Decent shower and decent breakfast with large choice.

We found the hotel was not very efficient, especially has I am vegetarian. Breakfast menu does not have vegetarian option. Staff wasn’t ready at breakfast time. Stay was quiet. I went with my wife, lady who booked us in assumed we wanted two rooms so in my opinion not lesbian or gay friendly. Wouldn’t go again

The Royal Mundesley North Walsham
Staying at The Royal Mundesley was just perfect. Needed to visit a family member locally, only stayed one night but staff were great, really helpful with local dire tions and our stay. Room great size, lovely and clean, bed really confy got a good night sleep. Thanks to all at the Royal

A typical run down English seaside hotel ,but the breakfast was excellent and the Cook come host in the breakfast room NAT was exceptional a treasure to the hotel.

lovely stay in a room with a 4 poster bed
we stayed for 2 nights The first night was a Saturday and we booked to eat in the restaurant, which was busy. We both had the seafood platter, which was lovely and filling. Sunday morning breakfast was good, if a little chaotic as other people have mentioned. However, as a family run place you expect it to be different from the usual 'one size fits all' bland national chains. Also, breakfast is a little more compressed at weekends as there is 1 less hour, and we also appeared the same time as everyone else, so thats perfectly excusable. Breakfast was filling - so much so that so that we didnt need lunch. Because we were still very full in the evening, we went for a 'light supper' from the nearby Bacton Pizza Takeaway and ate it on the beach, which was good. Mundesley is a very lovely place and the location of the Royal is very convenient. Breakfast on the Monday was much less busy, and seemed to be run by one of the owners family, and was more organised. Again, good, with lots of choice - buffet style full english, bread, toast, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, juice, tea, coffee. Nice stay in a nice hotel - which looks like it has been refurbished to a good standard

The Hotel is “tired”. The room was of a good size, would benefit from a redecoration , bed and sheets clean and fresh. No blackout curtains, too much light into room. One Window didn’t stay open. Basic tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bathroom cabinet is very worn , with ingrained dirty marks.. the pull cords for the bathroom light and cabinet are very dirty. One morning ran out of hot water by 0710hrs . The tv remote doesn’t work. These are small things that show that the time in which the hotel was closed these issues were not check or rectified. Also , for the money expected more. Price was similar to a DeVere Hotel...£60 each a night for BB... Fantastic location, fantastic village.. and fantastic that an independent hotelier can make it work... and I want them to make it work... I want to return... good luck for the future..
