Room was clean and quiet and staff were friendly and efficient. In the winter - know that when you first get into the room it will be hot - but you can turn on the air-conditioner and a fan (and open the window) to keep it cool. The shared bath is ok - two toilet closed stalls - very sparse but fine. If you were in a college dorm this might feel familiar. Good location - felt safe and the area around the hotel was clean. Recommend for the adventurous who don't need a lot of space or their own bathroom.

It’s a lovely, clean hotel in the meat packing district. The rooms are extremely narrow, so fitting in large luggage can be a bit of an issue. The beds are comfortable and the communal bathrooms are immaculate.

I stayed in a single "cabin" room which is a good description and the photos are accurate. It is a clean, quiet, place to sleep and has a shared bath down the hall. It is what people used to do all the time - small rooms, shared bath, and you go out to socialize. Convenient to the Whitney, Chelsea Market and fancy stores - I was smitten with this hotel that is more like a shipboard experience - and at half the price of most other nearby places. Not for everyone, but I liked it.
