"If you are traveling for history and historic beauty this is the place, but like a very old Jaguar, even when restored is going to be a bit...unreliable. The hot water, once you turned on all the taps to get it, lasted three minutes...if you are old or disabled, the stairs are a challenge, the AC struggles to keep the room cool and this is when we are not in a heat wave...no refrigerator to keep your food cool, either. It is a beautiful hotel, but not a practical place...like an old Jaguar."

"The rooms were clean upon arrival and were cleaned multiple times with fresh towels over my 5 day stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, a huge thank you to Rachel and Pamela whose kindness made the stay that much more memorable and enjoyable. Breakfast has some changes to it day-to-day which is good if you get bored of the same food day in day out. "The staff was by far the best part of our stay. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional.

"We had a great day at the Best Western Lamplighter! The pool was fantastic and a huge hit with the kids. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing to note is the on-site restaurant there isn’t included. Other than that, we had a great stay and would stay here again in the future!"
