The staff was super friendly and nice upon arrival. We had a private room which was clean and the beds well made. One small detail the shower curtain was over due to be changed, but overall a small fix. It was quite and no one really disturbed us. It was great.

Very good location steps away from the Metro. Friendly and helpful staff, great Happy Hour drink pricing, however not a huge amount of atmosphere/mingling if that is something your are looking for in your hostel stay. Worth noting that the basement level 4-Bed Dorm was quite loud at night and early morning with road noise as there is a bus terminal behind the hostel. Beds aren't crazy comfy overall, but the price and location is reasonable for somewhere to sleep.

The staff were nice, if young. The room was what you don't want to expect, but fit the price: small, dingy, and with washed out bedding and curtains that didn't successfully provide privacy (especially not when I found another guest peeking in at me!). The water was hot but the drains were slow. At least the free hot chocolate and interesting upstairs sitting room lent character, though I'd recommend skipping the desultory breakfast.

I had a great stay at Samesun Hotel during my visit to Montreal. The location was convenient, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would happily stay here again.

The staff was helpful and the dorms were spacious. It was easy to get settled in and to figure out how things work for both check-in and check-out. Common areas were well-kept and active, and amenities were plentiful, and they even host a happy hour in the evenings. My two complaints: the lower-level dorm I was placed in seemed weirdly warm and humid (??) compared to the rest of the building--possibly because it was next to the laundry room. The shower also could have used a cleaning.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The air conditioning in the main area worked great but was a bit stuffy in the room. The shower seemed like it could use a cleaning. No elevator. Breakfast was simple but nice, toast, eggos, cereals, apples and oranges. Bar has a happy hour from 6-9. The kitchen has all the supplies and basic ingredients. Great location, neighborhood felt safe to walk around alone at night as a female solo traveller. Good place if you're on a budget :) There are no locks offered by the hostel so bring your own if you plan to use the lockers (which are a bit small)

Rooms were spotless, staff is always courteous and you get a youthful vibe on scene that's pleasant and vibrant. I'm 53 and wouldn't go anywhere else to stay in Montreal. It's like your own apartment surrounded by fun if you want, privacy and quiet when you don't at the right price.
