"We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent, with an easy walk into the historic centre while still being in a quieter area. Parking was simple and convenient, which was a big plus. Our room had a balcony that we enjoyed, the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Lucca."

Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa

Barga

10/10 Excellent

Amazing hotel , spectacular views ,food was delicious and the staff were exceptional Book a room with breakfast as probably works out cheaper especially if you don't have a car to get to Barga You can take a shuttle from hotel but only at certain times so this can be limiting.. Taxi service available but expensive if only two of you paying, car hire is very reasonable and you can make the most of the area as lots of places to visit. We took a train to Pisa from Barga for a day trip which was...

Park Hotel Regina

Bagni di Lucca

10/10 Excellent

The hotel was lovely - a big spacious room. The staff were attentive and helpful especially the chambermaid and the engineering student from Pisa! Breakfast was plentiful and interesting. Very peacefull apart from the market morning when stalls are set up very early in the main street. Alittle bit of heaven in such interesting surroundings. We ate in the sister hotel but think the nearby Foriestieri was 5 Star - highly recommended in fab building. Beware portions are large.

Val di Luce Spa Resort

Abetone Cutigliano

10/10 Excellent

Location to the slopes is great. Sadly the snow was lacking and by 2 o’clock the bottom slopes were slush and unskiable, however, this wasn’t the hotels fault and more global warming and the lack of snow throughout March. The Spa in the hotel I believe is worth it (20€) and you get 3 hours to chill out. The food was good although, a little pricey, 77€ for a starter and 2 mains washed down by a house glass of white and 1 local beer is a little steep. The staff spoke English and they had a Land...

Villa Giorgia Albergo In Collin

Pistoia

10/10 Excellent

Very helpful, friendly staff. Room (superior) was a really good size. A second day chair would be good! Bathroom clean and a good size. Bed comfy. There are sitting rooms, we used one each night and had it all to ourselves. Breakfast simple but everything you would expect for a continental breakfast. Some cut fruit or berries would have been good. However coffee was fab! Garden lovely though there is traffic noise. The view is spectacular! The pool looked really clean and had a good range of...
