"The property itself, the grounds, bar and restaurant are stunning but unfortunately let down hugely by the rooms in the Chateau. Admittedly I did opt for one of the rooms on the lower priced end of the scale but didn’t expect the room to be unclean, just not as well appointed and modern. However the walls were stained, carpet was bare, edges of the room were thick with dust and dirt, the shower tray floor tiles were stained and black around the drain and I couldn’t bring myself to sit on the...

"Talbot House is an experience. The common areas (living room, dining room) invite exploration, The English garden is quite beautiful. The continental breakfast was good. The bedrooms are attractive and comfortable, each equipped with a sink. There is one bathroom per floor and it is shared by all staying on that floor."

"Nous avons passé une nuit pour visiter Lille. L’endroit est paisible, à 15 minutes du centre-ville, avec beaucoup de nature et de verdure. L’hôtel, vu de l’extérieur, est bien entretenu et les chambres étaient correctes. "Nous avons réservé 2 nuits pendant ces grosses chaleurs de mai. Notre chambre exposée côté chaleur et la 1er nuit a été désagréable car impossible d'ouvrir à cause du passage. 2eme nuit un peu plus fraîche car une charmante hôtesse d'accueil nous a proposé un ventilateur."
