Hotel staff are rude, unhelpful and looked miserable, not once in my stay did I get greeted walking into hotel.
I was allocated a room on level 10 the noise from this room was unbearable. There was a crane that started work at 5:45am setting up and fixing windows on the adjacent hotel the W.
This went for 2 days. I spoke with management and was then placed in a new room on level 20, that room had no air-conditioning. Had a windows that wasn’t sealed so made a windy noise all night. You could here trams, emergency services ext. the taps in bathroom are terribly hard to mix water temperature, room are stuffy, dusty and cause irritation if you have asthma. Public area are always messy, pool level access is full of housekeeping trolleys. With used linen. Makes for hard access.
Pool is small and always overcrowded, the chemicals in spa are overwhelming.
Restaurant is crazy priced, staff treat you like your a number and have no customer service skills or professionalism.
Homeless drug effected persons sleep next door in shop front, this is confronting and make you feel very unsafe. Drugs are crazy is Melbourne so is the homelessness, people can be seen sleeping urinating and taking drugs in shop fronts and on streets. They seem to be around the secure parking we’re my car was parked and entry to hotel on market st.
I left the hotel 2 days early and drove home, won’t be back & will be speaking to head office and seeking a refund for the days inconvenienced.
