"Beautiful hotel. We were greeted by a glass of prosecco whilst we checked in. We had a standard room which was more than adequate in size and it has the softest bed and linen I think I have ever stayed in, the room had a balcony looking out over part of the golf course. We played golf and used the spa after which is intimate in size but well worth using. We ate in both restaurants and had breakfast on the terrace both mornings. "The whole staff was very helpful and personable, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Tony, who went above and beyond. I called an Uber on my last day, and it kept delaying the arrival time. When I became concerned about missing my train, and a taxi was going to take too long to arrive, Tony took me to the train station himself--talk about going the extra mile! (Also, note that Uber is currently not reliable in Canterbury--hopefully that will change in the future). "
"The location is in the no-cars zone, plan ahead carefully if you drive. The building is very old, as is to be expected for the area, but well maintained. Easy walking to all attractions and lots of dining options."

"We loved staying here. It really had a mix of modern and historical. Felt like a proper English hotel and had a tub in our room!! Hard to find in Europe. There was some construction but it wasn’t impacting our experience and it’s obvious they’re reinvesting in the property and up keep which makes me know I would want to stay there again in years to come.
