I stayed one night at Bairro Alto Suites and was truly impressed. The location is unbeatable—right in the center of everything—and the rooms are clean, stylish, and very comfortable. But what really made my stay memorable was the outstanding service. Ricardo at the front desk and his team went above and beyond at every turn. Warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming—hospitality at its finest. Highly recommended!

More like an inn than a hotel. While the front desk isn’t always manned, their system is painless and cleaning was done daily and thoroughly. The location is excellent, near the nightlife and the tourist core of Lisbon. But night on top of it. So the noise wasn’t too bad.

Great location, helpful staff. Finding the property was initially challenging as there is no signage and I did not initially see that there was a doorbell (would be helpful to include this in the check in info).

The room consists of a bed, closet, minuscule bathroom and nothing else. No chair, table, glasses, cups or other essentials. Lobby is nonexistent. Access to rooms was via a narrow stairway with no elevator. Staff were helpful when available.

Excellent stay in a beautiful hotel.

Our room was perfect, very efficient, and, clean. Ricardo and Yolanda were very professional. Ricardo helped us work through the language difficulties and helped find the places we were looking for as well.

I had a great time when I stayed at this property. The place is spotlessly kept, with a very helpful front desk. If you check in after hours, the check is remote which is very speedy. As for the location, can't beat it! Walking distance from nightlife, fado music bars, restuarants and neighborhood tascas. I'd give this place 5 stars!

Difficult to find. No lobby or hotel sign. Worn stairway. Room was ok. Not as pictured. No water or option to purchase water. Fine for one night.

We really loved how the location of these rooms is right in the middle of one of Lisbon's most lively neighborhoods, but being on a quieter street, it never felt like the party was right outside the window. But was WAS outside our window, in our room at least, was not the beautiful views of Lisbon others had described, but a little courtyard with views of other people's laundry and balconies in the surrounding properties. It was quaint in its own way, just a little disappointing. Otherwise, the room was great and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stay close to great restaurants and shopping.

Staying in Lisbon

This hotel was not exactly what I expected. It was clean and secure, however there was no face-to-face interaction with anyone except the housekeeper. I had to download WhatsApp in order to communicate with the manager. Also they provide no concierge-type services like calling for a taxi.
