"Great out of town facility close to Edinburgh with two golf courses, indoor swimming pool and various bar/restaurant options. Staff were intent on making the visit a special one for their guests. Only downside is lack of air conditioning in the room though in Scotland not a big deal for most of the year."

"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful. Dining in all three restaurants was superb. We would definitely go back. The Falconry experience was amazing. Just be aware it is not run by the hotel but it is on or adjacent to the grounds. A two minute walk from the lobby."

"The room was very spacious, especially as I had an unplanned injury before attending which resulted in my requiring a wheelchair. Despite the cleaners entering the room every day minus 1 where we chose not to have it cleaned, the room was not cleaned at all. Beds were always remade but that was it. No fresh toilet rolls, towels, water or tea/coffee. Just beds remade. The bar was lacking beer the whole time we were there and the breakfast was not a £15pp worth of food quality or quantity. "Having parking was a huge benefit, the high street does get busy so knowing it wasn't going to be an issue is great. The breakfast was lovely, nice amount of choice and the full cooked breakfast was huge! We didn't get a chance to have a coffee in the cafe but the homemade cakes and biscuits looked delicious. Check in and check out was smooth and quick. We were in room 86 and the windowsill needs a bit of maintenance and the room could do with a freshen up but the room was clean and the bed...

"Rooms are clean and well equipped but look a little tired. Lunch time menu was restricted and expensive, but food was nice. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and it was constantly being replenished. Staff are all friendly and helpful."
