"Friendly Staff and Excellent Location, With a Few Areas for Improvement
I stayed at Centara Life Lamai Resort Samui and found the staff to be extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Whenever I had an issue, they genuinely did their best to address it, and I appreciated how accommodating they were throughout my stay.
The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. It’s only about a two-minute walk to Lamai Beach and right in the middle of the area, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife within easy walking distance. The rooms were also very spacious and comfortable, which was a definite plus.
There are a few things I think could be improved. I would suggest providing small washcloths in the bathrooms and having security available both during the day and at night. The gym could also use an upgrade, although I really appreciated that the staff provided me with a new yoga mat when I needed one.
The biggest issue for me was the nighttime noise. Because this is a smaller hotel located close to the street and nightlife, there was significant noise during my stay, generally from around 10:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. I was able to discuss and resolve my concerns with the manager, who was very kind and professional, but light sleepers should definitely keep the location and potential noise in mind when booking.
