"Jonny, the host was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Cannot be faulted. Room and en suite basic, but bed clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage drawers, small table and chairs a nice touch. Shower room small but clean, with good shower pressure. Although above a pub, the rooms are unexpectedly quiet. Budget-friendly - if you want all the “bells & whistles”, then you’d have to pay much more for a room. Well worth the money."

"A lovely little apartment right in the centre of Clifton village. Very cosy and well maintained. My only complaint would be there is no "Convenient and secure on-site parking, a rare amenity in the area", as described when booking. There is on paid on street parking but you have to arrive after 5pm to pay for all night parking. Other than that I would recommend. "

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "I had an amazing stay, the owner Nick was very responsive and very pleasant, despite booking last minute. There was a clear guide of instructions of places to go. There was tea, coffee, a socket near the bed, organic milk. When I am back in Bristol, I would definitely rebook, if there is availability. Thank you !!"

"I enjoyed the more tranquil neighborhood of Clifton Village over the city center and it made for a peaceful and quiet stay. The views from the restaurants is spectacular and I loved having easy access to the suspension bridge and observatory. But the hotel itself is a bit worn. "We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms."
