"I've stayed here many times before for work. The prices have increased, and you now have to pay for parking on arrival. Sadly, the rooms remain tired and the beds aren't terribly comfortable. The staff are nice, but it's the little things that make you feel valued, and with the creeping prices, this hotel is increasingly looking less and less favourable when compared to other properties."

"Beautifully maintained property with expansive grounds and hiking trails that cross the property and so it is brilliant for walking and dogs. The room we had was exceptional and came with a small garden which again was heaven for the dog. The stay in a place like this is always about the staff though, who were great. Particular shout out to Marly who was the perfect blend of professional and warm and to the older chap who was training one of the new staff when we arrived and was particularly good as well. The only thing I would ask to improve is that there be some way established for people with dogs to enjoy the restaurant rather than only the pub. I’m sure it could be achieved somehow."

"Booked for one night and paid just shy of £200 for a standard double. The pictures of the hotel and room looked good so was happy to pay,. However, the room we got, room 44 was right at the back of the hotel in the 1980/90's extension, the room was small and tired, particularly in the bathroom where the door has no lock and paint had been knocked off, the ventilation fan also didn't work and wasn't fitted properly. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are friendly. We also ate in the restaurant which was pleasant but we had a 20 minute wait for our drinks. I felt it was expensive for what it was £100 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 2 drinks. For £300 I feel there is better out there. Made my feelings felt on departure and received an apology and assurances my comments will be passed on, won't be returning."
