"Delightfully friendly and kind hosts.
Very clean place. Simple rooms, with everything you need, and shared washrooms. Nice breakfast. The shuttle to the lift is nice (although also easily walkeable in 10-15 minutes). The onsen bath downstairs is a definite bonus."

"Great location, a 15 minute walk to the top of the main street. Pick up and drop offs from the station or ski resorts.
Great food and helpful staff. A great place to stay."

"The snow monkeys were within walking distance. The rooms were large, and the views were beautiful. Communication with staff is complicated."

"Was a great stay at this great little inn. It may be a bit different than what most western guest expect to find, but I went for the Ryokan experience and was not disappointed. Staff were really great, helpful in scheduling transport to the monkey park and to the train station. Room was clean, good size, and had everything I needed.
The town itself is a cute little village and it was a great experience going to all 9 baths in the town. The baths themselves could use a bit more attention... some...

"Nice location close to lift system. Good crowd of young seasonal staff running the house. The property has some good features, such as small onsen, ski and drying room. Bedroom was a little noisy due to an adjacent boiler switching on and off during the night."

"Everything you need and nothing that you don't. Just beware that in could only find one place for dinner in the area and bring breakfast."
