Oasis in the City

This was my favorite hotel in Vietnam so far. It is centrally located in a quiet street with an amazing courtyard area with pool. I recommend getting one of the pool view rooms if available.

Beware the image of the superior room is not the superior room. Bit disappointing on arrival. Staff helpful, breakfast good for the price.

Séjour agréable,dans une ruelle épargnée du bruit

Les +: hotel situé dans une petite ruelle épargnée du vacarme de la rue principale et des multiples restaurants/bars aux alentours même si le soir on entend quand même la musique, Le cachet de la demeure, Personnel adorable, parlant bien anglais. Grande chambre avec large balcon. Le petit déjeuner : à volonté dans la carte. Les moins : le bruit ininterrompu du système électrique (où vous insérer la clé de la chambre) : boules Quies obligatoires la nuit qui ne suffisaient pas à couvrir le bruit. La salle de bains vieillotte et l'évacuation de la baignoire qui fuyait (autant d'eau au sol qu'avec une douche).

Good budget hotel

One night stay. The hotel is located in the main tourist area of Hue. Hotel is budget but very good value for the price. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is OK Room was basic but clean and functional. Because my wife had recently had surgery on her knee the absence of a lift made it a little difficult, however the lady on the front desk did her best to help and would have reallocate us to a lower floor had a room been available. (For most travelers Iam sure this would not be a problem) All in all not a bad place to stay for a few days. Dave and Sal Yorks

It was down an alley way which made it more difficult to find and taxis can't drive there but also rendered it quieter away from Hue's substantial street traffic. A disappointment was the lack of a pot to boil hot water in the room, the only place in southeast Asia that hasn't had one (I'm in the 6th week of my trip).

My opinion is based on being a world travelir from Canada. Good hotel but no taxi access. Not thrilled to pay a taci then have to walk in the dark no idea what I was looking for.

Reception and all other staff were great. They were pleasant and helpful. The room was on the smaller size for the price and could have benefited from a redecoration. The bed was comfortable enough and the linen was clean. The bathroom was a bath with a hand shower attachment. I would have liked to be able to stand and shower. The breakfast was made to order and the menu was substantial and plenty of options. I must admit I have stayed in other hotels which were better presented and a little cheaper. The hotel owner / manager should be proud of all the staff who made my stay there quite pleasant.

not too bad hotel

The ladies at reception were really helpful and welcoming. The room was very dated but you get what you pay for I suppose. The pool was lovely and refreshing but only a few sunbeds so sometimes no room to stay down there. They missed a trick as didn't re-fill our mini bar even though we asked a couple of times. No kettle in the room but there was a flask of hot water, only problem is it wasn't refilled in our 5 days of being there and we did ask for more but didn't receive any. Generally a good hotel and the service was good so can't complain too much

Very quiet hotel in the middle of the busy distric

The hotel is location in the middle of very busy Hue tourist district. The building is quite interesting, old colonial style, with stairs. However due to the side street and inner location it is very quiet and highly recommended, if sleep quality is important for you.To minimize the noise level, ask for rooms in second and upper floors. Breakfast is quite tasty, but it is the same thing every day, while plenty of breakfast options are available right outside the hotel - within 20m every day one lady setups her operations for Pho soup, right next to it you can have Bahn mi. As far as the staff is concerned, they are polite, with good English skills and willing to help.

Great experience but a problem occured

The room was very comfortable, clean and the bathroom very stylish. Staff was amazing and did a great job. There were only two problems: the aircon didn't work as it should so sleeping was pretty much of a challenge + mosquitos coming out of nowwhere. Hotel and staff are 10/10 but these two issues are significant.

An oasis of calm in a big city - lovely

Hue Garden Villa is an oasis in a big city. It is situated in a quiet alley very central to everything and the bonus is the pool. After sightseeing it was fantastic to be able to cool off in or relax around the pool. My first room was quite small but with a small balcony with no view but private. I was then offered a room with balcony over looking the pool which was more spacious. Everybody was very helpful and friendly and they arranged a boat and bicycle for me to go down the river to the tombs and for me to cycle back - worth doing. On looking around at other places to stay I think this is the best.

Inexpensive, Convenient to attractions with a pool

The hotel is on a laneway off the main street, so quiet to some degree. The pool was great during very hot weather. The staff were helpful with advice and organisation to visit local attractions, and there are lots of eating and drinking venues within an easy walk. The room was dated but clean, and there is no lift.

A great place to stay in the centre of everything

A lovely family run the hotel and take pride in the hotel, garden and pool. Everywhere is clean. Only downside - the cleaners can be a little noisy in the mornings which can make it difficult to sleep in late. Our room had a small balcony out the back if you are a smoker. The pool area out the front was lovely and the pool almost big enough to do lap swimming. The breakfast was fab. You could choose a couple of items from omelette, bread, pancakes, fruit, juices and tea. A great start to the day! All the nightlife and restaurants are just around the corner but the hotel is down a little lane so not too noisy. Perfect!

Déçu malgré les bons commentaires

Si vous êtes de passage juste pour une nuit, il vaut mieux mettre 10 ou 15 euros de plus pour trouver un meilleur hôtel. A éviter la chambre 207 : bruyante, fenêtre ne se ferme pas, mitigeur non fixé sur le lavabo, salle de bain pas terrible... Par contre le personnel est accueillant.

A great place to stay when visiting Hue

Brilliant staff, great to have a pool in the heart of the city and the best hotel breakfast we've had in Vietnam with European and Asian options. Easy walk to the Citadel, bars and places to eat.
