"We loved our stay. Roberto and Francesco were super welcoming and very hospitable! Our room was lovely. One thing to be aware of is that the property does require going up a significant hill with your luggage, as the taxis can’t get all the way up. That was not a problem for us, we loved our stay and highly recommend !!!!"

"First of all, this is not a hotel. It is a bed and breakfast type place. It is in a hard to find area of old town Salerno. It was a very unique or different experience staying here for one night but Angelo went out of his way to make sure everything worked out well even securing us a taxi the following morning to the train station. It is well worth staying here but no elevators!!!!"

"I have a hard time understanding the ratings given by Expedia. You get a virtual card, if you don't have phone service, you can't get in and out of the ancient decrepit property with several doors, and dark alleys, like a very old prison, a very scary place. If there is a fire, or earthquake and your phone doesn't work you are death, I absolutely hated that place and would not recommend it to anyone."

" We had a fantastic stay at La Maison du Paradis. Pasquale and his wife were excellent hosts. Pasquale met us at the apartment even though we were late and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. He checked in on us several times, gave us info about the buses and ferries, dining recommendations, maps, etc. He even arranged a cab back to the train station for us. "The owners were very sweet, my only issue was that the room was 6 or 7 floors up. I knew there was no elevator just wish I would have know that it was on the top floors due to the fact that I have major knee problems, & lugging suitcases up was not fun for my husband. However the location was great, just a walk away from the water."

"If you're like us and want to get the true feeling of an old town, you'll love B&B Epoca. You'll be right in the center of old Salerno, with more good local restaurants and shops than you can sample, and you're just a short walk from the waterfront. "The room was clean and centrally located. Bed was decent, shower pressure was good, and our room had a nice balcony. Host was communicative but signs to the property are very limited at the entrance. It would be easy to miss. Also, in Salerno taxis are a bit hard to come by to grab in the street but the hotel gave us the phone number and the taxi driver was very prompt to pick us up to take us to the train station. (And I know that’s not a hotel issue, but something to be aware of in general)"
