"Beware the misleading advertising at this hotel. The double deluxe room photo on the hotel and Expedia website is in the basement. I would never knowingly book a basement room anywhere. We booked a Double Deluxe room and on arrival were given the room in the basement. When I went upstairs to point out the deception, the receptionist just kept repeating “that was the room you booked.” She lied and kept pointing to the photo on the website of the basement room - that no where in the photo or...

"Quaint and well run property"

"Everything was great - able to check in a tad early as we were drenched from the rain trying to meet up with our uber from our boat. Many amenities in the room. Canal view!!! Down the road from Riks and Van Gogh Museum. Had breakfast once and loved that you could get scrambled eggs!!! Buffet was beautiful and market was fantastic for whatever you wanted - wine, beer, coffee, pastries, light dinner, snacks, etc. Very modern accommodations. Room cleaners were great!"

"The look of the hotel itself was very nice. The aethestics and decor looked evelvated but the reception area was a bit weird to me. The reception are is just a large kitchen table area where two people sit there looking like two friends having a conversation. I was confused when I walked in. The amenities of free drinks and alcohol as well as free breakfast every morning was the best perk but outside of that I did not enjoy my experience at the hotel. I feel like I was catfished by the pictures...

"Overall is okay just the city tax is very very high. The room I book is on the top which under the roof without window so a bit awkward. As it show in the website as no-view but not mentioned that NO window. It should be mentioned as "No-Window" to make it clear! They dind't clean my room even put sign "Please make up room" I went out and came back in the evening then call to reception on this issue then the house-keeping come and clean within 5-6 mins that's it! "We stayed in a Deluxe Room the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium for 5 nights, and we were disappointed. They put us on a floor that was undergoing renovations (our hallway was covered in painting tape and had unfinished light fixtures), and our room had non-functional ventilation and sparse seemingly unfinished decoration. Our room also had no view (despite advertising a city view) and the bathroom was smaller than advertised. We raised all of this after one night, and mid-way through our stay...

"The property is in a great location. Staff was superb. The gym was closed and they comped the breakfast. Bathroom was small and poorly designed for a person who is big ( I’m 6’4”)."

"Beautiful location, felt like a local. Room was big with a large comfy bed. Had everything we needed and was cleaned and restocked daily. There was a portable aircon (which i know aircons aren't guarenteed in older buildings) it was super loud and needed the window open to run. Blinds also let in lots of light. Great stay though"
