"Changed rooms due to excessive noise of the outside air-conditioning only to get a room which took your breathe away by the heat of the hot water pipe running through the room. Baring in mind it was still very hot outside. It's the first time we've slept in a room which was on par with a sauna. Not at all pleasant or comfortable. Told by reception they couldn't put the water pipe off as it supplied hot water for the other rooms. Very disappointed the room we had. All other parts of the hotel...

"Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10"

"This is a great place to stay! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large compared to many places we’ve stayed at, it is a very quiet neighborhood yet an easy walk to town, and the breakfast is excellent! We only got the continental breakfast (which can come with porridge or overnight oats), but Sue puts out a gorgeous fruit bar with yogurt and a variety of other toppings that we feasted on (her hot breakfast menu looks awfully good too). "The Inn is perfectly located for enjoying Kirkby Stephen. The staff - especially Jacqui - is super helpful and kind. Really enjoyed our brief time there.
