10/10 Excellent

"I liked the Sixties retro vibe of the Ranch style Motel. Now all clean and updated inside. Only outside sign of the 21st Century are the solar panels neatly placed on the back building. Property is on a hill overlooks surrounding Sierra Foothills, though the freeway can be heard when outside on the pleasant covered porch. Walked 300 yards down to adjacent bowling alley which has a bar and good pizza. I would definitely return if I am in the area."

"The stairs going into the cottage were falling apart with rusty nails exposed. The room still had hair in the bathroom shower, partially painted wall, smearing from people’s hand on the bedroom walls, the list goes on. The dumpster right outside the cottage was overflowing with garbage, all the outside trash cans were full of beer bottles & teach"

"Loved our stay at the Holbrooke Hotel. Highly recommend. Pros: Our room was clean, comfortable and simple, across from restaurant / bar; Food and libations at the GoldenGate was exceptional; service at both hotel and restaurant was outstanding. Frittata, scones and coffee were fresh and delicious the morning of departure. Cons: Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors in the hallway. No closet, no dresser, no wine glasses, no robes, no TV in room; although, you can request most of these items from the front desk at no additional charge."

"Management was intrusive and knocked on our door loudly asking to come in and look for a lost key from the previous tenant. That should have been handled before we were given the room. After a long drive, this was the last thing we wanted to deal with. I let it slide because I was exhausted, but the experience was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here — look elsewhere"
