"Check in was very easy, the room was compact but okay for 1 night stay. We had our dog and our room was the furthers away from the main entrance or garden, so would have been better if we was a bit closer. breakfast was really good and the bar was well stocked and a great view from the bay window. would defiantly stay again."

"The hotel had some character. We booked car parking for £12 a night at the rear of the hotel, we did not expect to park on waste ground with a 75 yard walk to the back door. The room was small but OK. We booked a table for 7pm. in the restaurant when we arrived the room was empty and no sign of staff, we enquired in the bar to be told that meals were being served in the bar. "Don’t stay here if you have a baby. Despite having given the hotel the age of my young baby prior to our arrival, and obviously having a pram when we checked in, the first room we were given was down a narrow flight of stairs which was very difficult to carry a pram up/down safely. We complained and were initially told to leave the pram outside reception. I pointed out that would mean we may have to carry a lot of things up and down the stairs whilst carrying a baby also- not safe. They then...

"The location was brilliant. There was good equipment in the kitchen and the sitting room was comfortable with a great tv. Others have mentioned the water is a bit temperamental but it didn’t affect our stay. I think it could benefit from a deep clean. It wasn’t dirty but needed a bit more care. "

"A nice hotel set in 7 acres of garden with access directly onto the sea front. All staff were very friendly and helpful although at busy times at breakfast time they could do with more people to help out. The pool was a great asset in the hot weather and fans in the bedroom helped with the heat and was a nice touch. The only minor complaint I might have is the traffic noise from the busy road just behind the hotel. I had a bedroom facing this road ( the back of the hotel) and the traffic started...
