"Welcoming, clean and quiet"

"I stay here for work quite a lot. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a decent menu. The Tesla fast chargers are also essential for me"

"The exterior of the hotel is lovely but once inside it’s very tired. The carpets are worn and stained. No air con or phone in the room. The tea/coffee was not refilled during the service. There is no lift in the section of hotel I was staying. The windows didn’t open much and the was no fan available. It was convenient for where I wanted to be. The staff I dealt with are very pleasant and there’s a large car park."

"Only 1 night but room very well appointed with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Good breakfast."

"I'm not sure that for price and location the Midland can be bettered. Right in the middle of town but not noisy,(I was on an upper floor), also the breakfast had a good choice of both hot and cold dishes. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Aso free parking. The only minus we found, was that the USB ports weren't working - we did report this."

"Comfy bed"

"We stayed on one of the warmest nights this year. A fan had been put in our room earlier on to ensure it was lovely and cool. The room was a good size. It was clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Parking is a plus. Good food in the pub too."

"Sehr schönes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Essen ist gut. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die Zeit zum einchecken ist mit 14 Uhr angegeben. Musste diesmal fast noch eine Stunde warten bis aufgemacht wurde. War nicht mein erster Aufenthalt dort und werde auch weiterhin dort übernachten."

"Did not like the abscence of humans until breakfast. The cook was obliging in making me a bacon butty for breakfast. The bed was comfy and the hotel was clean but a wee tired."

"Food was great and bar was well kept. Bed was comfy so comfortable in fact I overslept! Such a good find, not overly pretentious just good quality, helpful staff and good food. Perfect for a business stop over. WiFi was also reliable."
