"The staff were all polite and helpful, although some seemed a little inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job."

Friendly and attentive staff (each and every person we met across all areas had a very high standard of service) - super welcoming to dogs - tasty, quality food and drink (including a great quality, extensive breakfast offer) - bar with a nice vibe - beautiful grounds - excellent facilities. Room was clean and had good amenities. Excellent parking (with charging points). We will return!"

"The staff were great even though they were very busy and appear to be short staffed. One comment is that you need to be a genius to open the water bottles in the room !!! Also felt the small breads etc at breakfast were very dry . Otherwise a great stop and so loved the decor."

"An absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Ocean. Such a lovely hotel, clean, modern and very well located on the sea front. Breakfast was really good with a great choice. My fave was the fresh fruit salad, the yogurt & compote so tasty. Although the sausages with the full English were good too! We cannot wait to go back."

Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money."
