NOT A Traditional Hotel

To be clear, this is NOT a traditional hotel. It is an extended stay studio apartment style property. The front desk closes at 7:00 pm and is closed on Sunday. The manager was very nice and accommodating. This is a good place to sleep and take advantage of its proximity ti the Metra train station that gets yo cheaply into Chicago. Nothing is a safe walking distance from the place. Nearest restaurants and convenience stores are a mile away. Bed was comfortable. TV had about 30 standard cable and local channels. Nice fridge and microwave. There's a cooktop if you bring your own pots, pans, and utensils to use. So, NOT a traditional hotel, but a good place to rest after a day of sightseeing and enjoying Lake Michigan.

Do not recommend staying here. Black mold on the ceiling and bathroom, no vending machines, tv had no cable, terrible place and was definitely not worth wasting money at. It’s surrounded by warehouses and the highway.

We got there and our key card didn’t work so we had to have a staff member open our room with a master key, when we got in the room there was hair in the “freshly cleaned” beds. The bathroom didn’t have a lock so the door would swing open which invaded privacy, the sink had old food in the drain from someone prior, there was a broken window from someone who was “drunk” people also LIVE HERE… there was cat trees outside of the “hotel rooms” people moving in the same day we were going to stay, railings were all broken and fell off when my bf went to grab it, when we got there they wanted a 100$ deposit which they didn’t tell us about for a fee if it wasn’t clean, and when I told the staff member he offered another room but I told him I wanted to go somewhere else bc it wasn’t what they were advertising and he said he didn’t care and I told him I still didn’t feel safe staying here bc when we first got there we saw a literal crack head ITCHING HER FACE screaming at the staff member about how her key card didn’t work for her to do her weekly laundry and he laughed in my face and said his home was safe, my home is safe and so is this place and then said he also didn’t care anymore bc he got to leave at 4pm and go home! Staffing there was horribly rude and are scamming people for money.

Room is very, very basic, small dining table, full size fridge, and micro wave, unstocked kitchen, no dishes or cookware. No paper products aside from toilet paper, and only a bar of soap in the bathroom. Double mattress as stated, on a raised metal frame. Limited office staff time. Difficult access from the south.
