"The hotel is well located for shopping and checking out the area, and the staff is the best asset as they are very helpful. The room are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size plus a table and 2 chairs. It was very clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy. The temperature in the room was ideal. Breakfast was reasonably priced with a buffet style menu."

"Room (106) was pretty, clean and with a great bathroom with walk in shower. TV was difficult to get working and it was set in an awkward position in the room. Bed was very comfortable though not sure if it was king size as per description. Excellent English breakfast. As there’s a pub downstairs, it was only quiet when the pub closed. We had a great stay"

"Staff were very friendly and beds were really comfortable, however, the hotel does appear to be in a period of transition. At the time of our visit the lift wasn't working, and there was no food available in the hotel. On a minor point the TV in the room couln't pick up a signal , maybe due to it's position right by the Wrekin. At first glance the hotel does appear to be in an isolated spot, but it is less than 30 minutes drive to all the attractions of the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire Hills and Shrewesbury. Telford is about 15 minutes away, and there are a good choice of restaurants there. All in all I would be happy to stay there again."

"Lovely, comfy hotel. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in a while (full English). The soundproof wasn’t that good, I had to use ear plugs because of nearby roads, but it didn’t spoil my trip. A bonus of seeing the band ‘Europe’ there when I checked out! 🙌"
