"Amazing places!"

"We were returning customers to Low wood bay @ the winander club. We were slightly disappointed to see that spa access was no longer included in Winander rooms but it is a beautiful spa, so we paid the extra £140. We were disappointed to find out if you wanted to borrow some slippers for the spa, they were also chargeable now. And on check out I was very shocked to see they were also now charging £12 per day to park your car if you hadn’t booked directly with them. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed...

"We stayed here for one night, half board. The location is fantastic, with amazing views and a short walk to the lakeside. We enjoyed both meals very much, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The bars and restaurants were nicely furnished and clean, and our room was a good size. We had a lovely weekend break and would definitely stay here again."

"This is a nice property in the Ambleside town centre and close to all shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious and provide tea and coffee. Staff were polite and helpful. There is also dedicated parking on site ( tight spaces). The hotel is about 10-15min walk to the marina and close to waterfalls and Rydal caves. Breakfast is decent -cereal and toast are on buffet but other items need to be ordered ( included in the breakfast cost) . Portion sizes are small . Coffee could be...

"Nice clean room , room was on the ground floor at the front so there was a bit of road noise . In hindsight as I was up early for a sporting event I should have asked for a room further away from the road . The bathroom was very nice but decor and furniture in the room was a bit tired , and the bed was not to me and my wife’s liking but that’s just a preference I guess . Generally a very nice place and perfect for our stay"

"The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs."

"Parking space was a great plus. A nice old traditional pub with plenty tables outside. Bed comfortable enough for one night stay. Good, powerful shower. Delicious full english breakfast. Dining room was a little fusty and in need of a some TLC and the evening meal was a bit overpriced for what it was but still an overall charming stay in this gorgeous location. "
