"We absolutely loved staying at Cerro lodge. We were staying in this area of Costa Rica for a few days to see Scarlet Macaws and other birds. After arriving in the afternoon, we saw macaws, a motmot and howler monkeys in the trees right next to the restaurant from their deck. "This is our third time at the property. The view is unbeatable. Howler monkeys come by close. Comfortable apartments. Friendly staff. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that the apartments are a bit tired and outdated. "

"Cute idea, just poorly executed! The domo has no actual floor its just some boards with bamboo between some of the larger gaps, so the dome is filled with spiders, crickets, ants and other bugs. Booking this type of accomodation we expected some bugs but this was hundreds of bugs, and being stung and biten all night, so we got very little actual sleep. Also when we got there the dome looked cute but hadn't actually been cleaned properly, stains on the pillow cases and sheets. Very...

"This place really sucks, seems pretty nice in pictures but has been neglected, apparently for years. There are things like the balcony light not have a switch, the one of the celling fas not working, a single ac unit for the whole place. For these day and age not having Wifi, seems pretty ridiculous. The kitchen is supposed to be semi-equiped, but there is almost nothing. No cookware not utensils, not even coffee mugs. In general everything is in a very poorly and abandoned state. "
