"The cabin we stayed in was beautiful! It was very clean, stove and refrigerator were spotless. Bathrooms were very as well. The kitchen had all basics needed for simple meals. There were extra pillows and blankets. The view from the two balconies were so nice. The property is well taken care of, the pond is so big and has 3 nice decks to fish from. Several types of fish are in it. The staff were very friendly and check in was easy. Loved it and going back in a month."

"Very tired, shabby and in need of upgrade ... which they are working on. I read on reviews 'nice views', which i couldn't see through the dirty windows. 'Restaurant on premises' was closed due to renos so we had to go down the windy mountain road into town for dinner and breakfast (The Town Tavern in Banner Elk was excellent). Carpet desperately needs changing. What they could clean they did ... clean comfy bed (but a Murphy bed? how do you clean behind that? You don't! ). New shower curtain ... thank you. Shower head is awf. Linens clean. My suggestion, wait until renos are done and then give it a try ... there's potential"
