"A beautiful hotel with a superb location, walking distance to many restaurants and cafés. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the included breakfast buffet was always delicious. The front desk concierge were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and helped us book. Many different restaurants as well as our taxi back to the airport for a group of seven. The Turkish bath and indoor pool were a fabulous treat to be free of use an incredibly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Ponta Delgada"

"Amazing hotel, very well located in the heart of Ponta Delgada. The room was big and clean, the bed very confortable and the staff was lovely and very helpful. Main attractions, markets, shops, bars, restaurants and street food trucks are 1-5 min walking which is great. The sauna was great also after a long day of hiking."

"The rooms were nice and clean. The restaurant food was great, especially the breakfast buffet and the fresh inlets, but the wait staff was not equally as good. They seemed bothered by any request. The pool was not usable. It was dirty with dead bugs floating on the surface. We didn’t see a single person in the pool during our entire visit. The location was close enough to town but we would stay somewhere else if we came back. There are a bunch of boutique hotels outside of town with beautiful ocean views that we would look into next time."
Terra Nostra Garden Hotel

"Breakfast offerings were excellent but the staff doesn’t clear dirty dishes for the most part. They wait til you leave to clear the dishes. Bed & sheets are comfortable. Garden is a nice walk. Pool & jacuzzis are best used outside of the public hours. Parking lot for overflow is gravel & shoes get dirty if it rained. Not sure why the hotel doesn’t spend the $ to pave it. Swimming pool room was a sauna! Couldn’t even go into the pool because you could barely breathe the air was soooo humid & hot! Tina at front desk addressed my concerns about the street noise. Thank you!"

"Our stay at Octant Furnas was exceptional from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the food was excellent, and the location is perfect for exploring the Furnas area. What impressed me most, however, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable. The highlight came on my birthday. Throughout the day, several staff members wished me a happy birthday, which was a thoughtful touch. Later that evening, I mentioned it to one of the staff members and asked how everyone seemed to know. He smiled and explained that they share that information among the team so they can make guests feel special. Then he surprised me even more. He said, "You were in Ribeira Quente today." When I asked how he knew that, he laughed and said, "You walked past my house, and I thought, 'I know that guy!'" It was such a genuine and personal moment that perfectly captured the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Azores."
Doubletree By Hilton Lagoa Azores

"We were very happy with the overall quaiity of service and hotel amenities at Double Tree by Hilton Lagoa Azores. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, and was the ideal home base for us. It is the ideal location in the suburbs, and it is located across a private hospital. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood. In addition, the hotel is only a 10-15 minute drive from the airport and Ponta Delgada. We also liked that it is nearby a grocery store and walking distance to restaurants. The hotel is gorgeous - beautifully decorated, very clean, and well built. Our room was very quiet and clean. When we needed extra supplies, we would request it as needed and the staff was always professional and eficent with delivery. Our bed was extremely comfortable which allowed us to have a restful sleep every night. Our room had a partial view of the ocean and mountains which we truly enjoyed admiring from the balcony. Every morning, we were treated to a full buffet breakfast with a wide variety of selection. The hotel staff (front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance) were amazing - they were professional, helpful, kind and accommodating. This is one of the best hotels have we have stayed in as a family based on the reasons mentioned above, and we would highly recommend this hotel to others travelling to the Azores. A true gem in Lagoa!"
