"The hotel was being remodeled. It was difficult to get up and down the hallway because of workers and construction items. Walls and carpet were very dirty. This was not the property that I thought I was booking, but I had already paid so I stayed. the rooms are very small as is the bathroom. I'll be more careful when I book something else on Expedia. "

"One of the best experiences that I’ve had with a hotel, they let us check in early after I had surgery. It was extremely modern clean and professional people were so gracious and nice even at the breakfast morning before we left. If I can give them 20 stars I would your front office Staff the gentleman working the breakfast the cleanliness everything was top-notch thank you so much and if I go to Birmingham, you’re my first choice. ! What a wonderful crew you have."

"My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham was extremely disappointing and far below what you’d expect from a Hilton property. They charge for parking, yet the lot is poorly maintained with trash scattered around, and the speed bumps are unnecessarily high to the point of being ridiculous. Charging extra for that level of upkeep is unacceptable. The problems only got worse inside. The pool was dirty, the room had insects running around , and the bathroom was in terrible condition. The shower head was loose and not properly attached, and there were dark spots around the shower that appear to be mold—completely unacceptable from a cleanliness and health standpoint. To top it off, the bed was uncomfortable, making it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel is poorly maintained and not worth the cost. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone"
