"Out of this world quality. With a sincere, warmer than warm welcome, we were shown into our one bedroom villa. Sounds pokey?? Don’t you believe it. Kitchen, two lounge areas, wood burning fire, study, balcony, main bathroom and guest WC. A total of 26 chairs between the two of us. Everything really high quality. The housekeeping team were first class. They even went to the trouble of emptying the washing machine and hanging out/folding our clean clothes. Franschhoek itself is a haven...

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Coopmanhuijs while in Stellenbosch. It was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and acommodating. The restaurant was outstanding. Our reservation included breakfast and we were able to order off of a menu and/or opt for the generous buffet. We also ate dinner at the restuarant and it was beyond delicious. (Springbok carpaccio!) "Absolutely amazing safaris. Highly recommend staying and doing at least the horse riding to get up close to the giraffes. Saw all the animals multiple times, cant complain about how close and often you see the animals. Each safari was unique and special. "Coming from the US and having heard all kinds of stories about SA, I will say this property is very safe and secure, with (free) gated parking. I had a 2 bedroom apartment that was very spacious and had a patio area and kitchen. It was enormous. The staff are very courteous and helpful, and eager to share all the great things Stellenbosch has to offer. Laundry service is a plus and so is the location—walkable to any number of great restaurants and cafes. Great value as well. Highly recommended."
