"I expected to be in the annex, but the room was very good and had a balcony.
Food was excellent, generous portions.
To be honest, I thought the wine was a bit pricey.

" We found the Victory Inn at Mersea to be very comfortable and the service was brilliant. Staff were especially helpful and the position was great for my 6 year old grandson as he spent lots of time in the play area and we could keep our eye on him. We will definitely be booking again for sometime in the summer for a longer stay."

"We loved it here, had a a good couple of nights with friends. Beautiful apartment, amazing mattresses and pillows, very quiet environment. The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round ."
"I had a really nice stay at The WoolPack Inn. I liked the way the room was decorated and it was lovely and clean. Daily housekeeping too which was great. Staff were really friendly and happy to help. Only small downside was that the room was pretty small - no wardrobe (just some hangers on some pegs)/vanity area. However, this didn't affect my stay. The tea tray/mini fridge was well stocked with everything you'd need!
There is very little sound proofing so it can be noisy - however when I stayed...

"Have seen this hotel come up a few times and thought i would try it when i was working in the area.
Being a golf club it has lots of extras, gym, spa, pool etc.
The gym was well equipped with the latest tech, the pool area was lovely with a jacuzzi ,steam and sauna room.
Clean changing rooms with ample lockers.
The room was spacious with one of the largest beds ive seen, decent amenities, tea,coffee n biscuits.
Great bathroom and shower.
