But it gives an ‘old’ and uncared-for impression. However, the property is being renovated so I assume this will be attended too."

"The hotel sits right on the water in a neighborhood less than a 10 minute walk from the main water taxi stop. I liked it because it wasn’t touristy. I traveled with my 14 and 9 year old, and they loved the two hammocks by the dock. After a little hiccup at check in about a room that would accommodate us, we had a great experience with the staff. They are helpful and friendly as is the owner. The rooms are small but clean, and there is hot water to shower with. Great location, and easy to walk...

"Mixed feelings about this place. The entrance of the pool is very nice and so is the common area on the rooftop. Great location, 1 block from train station. And plenty taxi outside. The rooms are a bit rundown. The closet of both rooms they put us in was broken and the windows don't lock. When it's locked you just shake them and they opened in both rooms. The person incharge told me that they are all the same. The washroom is also not in best shape but nice spacious. All flaws I can ignore....

"Cool location in the lush jungle with walking paths and warm water! I only lost a little skin on the waterslide, but still so fun! The included hike to hospital point was surprisingly perfect. Nightime underwater glow worms were a trip! I didn’t book this room, but they put me in a sea urchin shaped upsides pool, it was cool. The second night I did get eaten alive by mosquitoes (from under the door and ceiling circle air vent wasn't a perfect closure. Fan was very needed, but still a bit hot one...

My only concerns were that when we arrived the power was out across the facility for hours. I was surprised that the property did not have a generator. There are also areas that I think could use some maintenance, specifically the water slide which appeared very rusty and structurally unsound.
