"This is an older Hotel that feels like its prime time was in the 1970's and has never left that era and that was perfectly fine by us! This was a great experience we were greeted as we drove up to the property by name as they were waiting for us! "Hotel is 3mins walk from the train station which was ideal as I was arriving into Omihachiman late at night. The room is clean and spacious. I booked a single room which is just next to the lift but I could not hear noise from they lift lobby. But I could hear the train if it was passing by the track next to the hotel. "The entire experience in this hotel was one for the books. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly; despite seeing how busy they are, they maintain their smiles. They make sure every guest is satisfied and comfortable. We did not want to anywhere during our stay. The relaxing onsen, massage chairs, unlimited ice cream were reason enough..not to mention the array of traditional Japanese breakfast (if that is your thing). There are other food options available too. Property is walking distance to Kyoto Station. Room is spacious compared to other hotels. "
