"Amazing view of the Thun lake and Spiez castle from the property. Very unique place to stay, offering a perfect Swiss experience. Close to all tourist destinations like Grindelwald, Istelwald, Jungfrau. Well connected by bus and train. The staff provided a bus pass so we didn't have to walk to the train station. Good weather in May made our stay in the comfy room with a scenic view memorable. Make sure you check and book the room as they have multiple categories of lake view rooms. The best view...

"Perfect hotel in the most beautiful surroundings. Bus and train station next to it . All shopping right next to this hotel all restaurants next to it . Quality of everything in the room was according to the stars. Restaurant serves a very good menu. Has an outdoor seating as well . Breakfast was perfect. Nothing negative ! "

"Honestly this is the best hotel we have stayed in Europe by far! The view is stunning, room is spacious, clean & comfy. They have the most delicious breakfast buffet with very nice and professional staff. Also need to mention the male front desk staff who did check-out process for us was super friendly and even gave us some water and a jam. Small things make hospitality memorable ;) "

"It had great views of the surrounding mountains and it was an easy walk to the train station which made travel super easy. The staff was also incredibly friendly. And I loved the eggs with silly drawings on them at breakfast!"

"Our room was 218, the BEST room in the hotel, overlooking the wooden bridge. Slept every night with doors open listening to the rush of the water. Staff were nice and helpful. Thun is a small town but very quaint and worth a short visit. No better hotel than Hotel Aare Thun. "
