Ryokan Sansui

"A perfect stay for our family after hiking at Kamikochi. The staff were extremely helpful both beforehand (prompt and detailed messages regarding how to reach there, our dietary needs, etc.) and during our stay. We are vegetarian and they went above and beyond in making our meals special. I honestly don’t even know how to describe how delicious and carefully prepared and served both the dinner and breakfast were. The location is stunning and the Onsen was wonderful. A stay we will never forget!"

Kamikochi Lemeiesta Hotel

"The property, staff, views, and location to trails are incredible. We did not realize that there is a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel from the bus stop with luggage. I would recommend contacting the hotel ahead of time to see if there are delivery options available. The hotel was able to transport our luggage to the bus stop upon check out for a small fee. Breakfast (including traditional Japanese options and a few western options) as well as a multi-course dinner are included. The private onsen was very enjoyable. However, we found the beds to be extremely firm and did not sleep well. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend."

BYAKU Narai

"The room was super comfortable and roomy. The soaking tub in the bathroom was amazing because you could have it hot all the time. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. You should note that some of the rooms are not close to the soaking pools or the restaurant. You have to go through a locked door to the street, walk for 5 minutes, enter another building for the soaking pool and restaurant. This place has one small pool for soaking so if you're looking for an onsen experience it would not be here."

"What an amazing stay! We loved every minute of our stay. The staff were amazing and so helpful and attentive. We loved the onsen and all the amenities that came with the hotel… free ice cream, ramen, mochi and saki were just some of the great things. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Thank you for an amazing magical stay in hirayu onsen, we will be back!"

"very nice hotel and everything is new. The onsen pool is small but water quality is high and very clean. The room is featured with modern designs and fairly new. Wifi is fast and bed is western style and very comfortale to sleep on. Dinner and breakfast are healthy and good. The service was best in class. Highly recommend this hotel."

Nukumorino-yado Komanoyu

"The hotel is excellent especially the hotel staff. Although we were late, the shuttle bus was still searching for us in the train station. He also led the tour for star watching at night and it was amazing. The hotel is really traditional and the meal was so good. We loved the outdoor and private onsen. Environment was exceptional peaceful in the forest."
